PJ North - Artist/Singer/Songwriter
Ever since he was five at a Brooks and Dunn concert, PJ North knew he wanted to spread his love of music to others. Much like his life, his music combines his myriad experiences to produce a unique product.
Born just outside Columbus, Ohio, PJ spent over a decade performing and writing music, exploring genres such as hip-hop and pop. He graced stages from New York to Las Vegas and everywhere between, while also being an active drag racer. These two pursuits helped him gain a lifetime worth of experiences and hone his craft; he was ready to return to country and released his first EP "Part Time Cowboy" in 2016, demonstrating his unique style and ability to blur genre lines.
Moving to Nashville, PJ immediately went to work playing shows and racking up co-writes with several rising Nashville artists. He performed at songwriter rounds and open-mics across the city, which helped solidify his place in the Nashville music scene. In 2017, PJ released his first Nashville EP "If This is It..." and followed in 2018 with the singles "She Was" and "B Sides," along with the music video for "B Sides." Along with his band The South, PJ has performed at notable Nashville showcases Whiskey Jam and Bus Call.
While making moves in the county music scene, he still finds time to hop behind the wheel of a race car, traveling the country in pursuit of his two passions. He continues to push the envelope as he further develops his fresh style of music: the classic country narrative infused with the rhythmic and lyrical aspects of pop and hip-hop, set to the hum of a guitar, as proved in his recently released his newest single "Middle of a Heartbreak." The future brings another single and a forthcoming third EP, which PJ is excited to share with the world.
